Carview Chronicles: Powell Street Overpass
This is the beginning of our first blog series on driving in beautiful sceneries in modern cities. We love driving, and if you’ve ever played TrackMania Sunrise, we took a lot of inspiration from there. In East Vancouver, there are a few notable driving spots that make you go “wow.”
The Powell Street Overpass is along Powell Street in East Vancouver. When you’re driving here, you’re sandwiched between the Port of Vancouver and East Hastings, known as an area filled with unfortunate homelessness, drug problems, and crime. The irony of driving in East Vancouver, is that it's very beautiful. More on that in a future article.
Powell Street Overpass: mark this location down, because if you travel from west to east in this location, you’ll be right on top of a bridge where on your north side you’ll see a sugar refinery, and on your south side you’ll see a wider landscape view of Vancouver. The best time to drive down here is from 10PM-11PM.
