One of the things that we're proud of is how fast our renters get into their rental cars and drive away. We waste no time handing them the keys to their new car.
Many reasons:
- We give our renters what they need, which is a car. Our renters have limited time, and we respect theirs.
- A big part of what makes a great experience for a car rental is speed. In fact, we believe that the more expensive the car, the faster we should let the renter into the car. This is counter-intuitive, but the reason is because people that are renting expensive cars are paying a lot of money. And we believe cars are just cars that get you from point A to point B. So should more expensive cars be any different? It's like flying first class on an airplane. First class travelers get on and off the airplane first. So we took this concept from the airlines and applied it into car rentals.
- This eliminates any friction between the car rental company and the renter. By being fast, we automatically disable all thoughts of prejudice and eliminate all thoughts of "this company is slow, or they don't look friendly." So by being fast, it is ironically, more friendly, because we remove friction, and also, the renter feels comfortable driving away. So this makes for an even better experience, which, for customer satisfaction purposes, is good, and also makes them take great care of our cars.
- Efficiency is important in the car rental business. We are fast and friendly. So this combination really makes it so that renters will always think about us, the next time they're considering a better car rental service. With the rise of robotaxis, what makes us stand out is the human touch.
We operate out of parking lots as an early stage company. So once the renter comes, they see the car, and we hand them the keys.
